The biographies in this section are of people who either worked at the Royal Naval Dockyard at Chatham or served on ships associated with the Dockyard. We have a complete list of workers for 1803 who were paid via the Dockyard; the biographies form a sample of this list.

These biographies have been produced by the CHDT Researchers using Pay Books from the National Archives, where practical we have established detailed histories of the lives of the individuals.
We will continue to add to the biographies, largely from the 18th and 19th centuries.
